This one is a firm favourite in my house even now when she is well able for the bigger bits of meat and it has to be the easiest thing ever.
Beef/steak pieces – about 200g
A sweet potato
Very low salt kallo stock cube
Peel and chop your veg
Get your casserole dish and lob everything in, along with a pint ish of the stock – enough to cover the food.
Then put it in the oven at about 160 degrees initially and then turn it down to 130 ish (depending on how hot your oven gets) after 30 minutes and just let it slow cook for about 2 hours.
When cooked remove it from the oven and you should just be able to mash it all together, the meat should just fall apart.
